Eyeliner Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential for safe healing and long-lasting eyeliner tattoo results. At NhiBrows, we provide these detailed instructions to help you protect your eyes, promote proper healing, and ensure the best outcome from your procedure.

Immediately After Your Appointment

  • Expect your eyeliner to appear darker and bolder than the final healed result.
  • Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness around the eyes is normal and should subside within 24–48 hours.
  • The color will gradually soften as the skin heals.

First 7–10 Days (Healing Phase)

  1. Keep the Area Clean & Dry
    • Do not wash the treated area directly with soap or water.
    • Gently clean around the eyes with a damp cotton pad if needed.
    • Avoid rubbing, scratching, or picking at the area.
  2. Swelling Relief
    • Apply a cold compress (wrapped in a clean cloth) to reduce swelling. Do not apply ice directly on the skin.
  3. No Makeup
    • Avoid applying mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or other eye makeup until healing is complete. Makeup can introduce bacteria and cause infection.
  4. Avoid Contact Lenses
    • Do not wear contact lenses for at least 48 hours after your procedure. Glasses are recommended during this time.
  5. Healing Flakes
    • Light flaking or scabbing is normal. Allow it to fall off naturally—do not peel or scratch.

What to Avoid During Healing

  • Swimming, saunas, or hot tubs for at least 10 days
  • Heavy sweating or intense workouts for 7–10 days
  • Sun exposure or tanning beds until fully healed
  • Eyelash extensions (must be removed before the procedure; wait at least 2 weeks after healing to reapply)
  • Lash serums for at least 4 weeks
  • Rubbing your eyes under any circumstance

After the First Week

  • Once healed, your eyeliner will appear softer and lighter.
  • touch-up session (6–8 weeks after the initial procedure) is essential to perfect the shape and color.

Long-Term Care

  • Use sunscreen and wear sunglasses to help prevent fading from sun exposure.
  • Avoid chemical peels or laser treatments directly over the treated area, as these may cause pigment loss.
  • Gentle skincare around the eyes is safe after healing is complete.

Important Notes

  • Healing varies by client. Some may heal quickly, while others take longer.
  • Results cannot be guaranteed; pigment retention depends on skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare.
  • If you experience unusual swelling, discharge, or signs of infection, contact us and your physician immediately.

✨ Following these aftercare instructions ensures your eyeliner heals beautifully, stays long-lasting, and enhances your eyes for years to come.
